Instructors
Ginny Jackson
Ginny practices and teaches Ashtanga Yoga, Kripalu Yoga, and Somatic movement. She has studied Somatics, a form of movement re-education, extensively, and is also certified to teach Pilates mat work. Ginny is a certified Kripalu Yoga instructor and the focus of her work is to assist students in getting to know their bodies. Ginny also holds a Masters degree in Exercise Physiology.
Mike Jackson
Mike teaches classes in addition to his role of managing the business affairs for Amherst Yoga. He held a number of different marketing and business positions in his 22 years in high-tech - which he left in August of 2002 to concentrate full-time on Amherst Yoga with his wife, Ginny. Mike has practiced yoga for many years, received his teacher certification in Interdisciplinary Yoga, and often blends several styles into his teaching. His primary areas of focus are in helping students to develop a fuller breath, and the joining of postures into a flowing sequence so that the mind can relax. Mike also places a strong emphasis on helping students achieve the proper alignment in their yoga postures.
Judy Gross
Judy is a Professional Level (500-hour) Kripalu Yoga instructor and a long-time yoga practitioner. She believes yoga/meditation to be a way of better getting to know oneself and one's way in the world. Her intention in working with students is to facilitate inner listening through stillness. Judy has taught yoga in a variety of studio, healthcare, educational, and corporate settings. She holds a Master's degree in Education and participated in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Professional Training at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. Judy teaches Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and leads silent mindfulness retreats in the Milford/Peterborough NH area.
Jody Secules
Jody has been practicing the STOTT PILATES® exercise method since the year 2000. She is a STOTT PILATES certified Instructor in Matwork. She has also completed the STOTT PILATES ISP (Injury and Special Population) Training program. Jody is RED CROSS certified in CPR/AED & First Aid. She received her B.S. in Electrical Engineering at Lafayette College where she competed and captained the Track & Cross-Country teams. She credits the STOTT PILATES method with assisting her in the pursuit of a balanced body and allowing her to continue participating in the sports that she loves - running, biking, hiking, skiing and swimming.
Pam MacCrate
Pam is a certified Integrative Yoga Therapy teacher. She has attended workshops with some of the leading yoga teachers including Todd Norian, Seane Corne and Cameron Shayne and is currently enrolled in an advanced yoga teacher training program with Sunstone Yoga.
Nancy Brouillard
Nancy has a BS in Recreation, is AFAA certified in Aerobics and Fitness and has taught Aerobics for 12+ years and Yoga for 2+ years. She is a longtime yoga practitioner, and participates in many outdoor activities such as skiing, running, biking, swimming and coaching kids soccer.
